4 other key players had been ruled out from the squad because of the injuries and they are Nemanja Vidic, Owen Hargreaves, Rafael da Silva and Danny Welbeck... 2 new signings besides Owen who are Antonio Valencia and Gabriel Obertan also been ruled out...
Due to the schedule, Manchester United will begin the Tour against Malaysia XI at Bukit Jalil Stadium on 18 July 2009... On 20 July 2009, United will face Indonesia XI at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium... On 24 July 2009, United will be in Seoul to play FC Seoul at World Cup Stadium and United will end their Tour in China on 26 July 2009 where United will face Hangzhou Greentown at Dragon Stadium in Hangzhou...
But as United arrived in Kuala Lumpur, a bombing blasting happened in Jakarta especially in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel which will be the official accommodation for United in Jakarta... For their safety, United had been informed to the Indonesian FA that they will not make the Tour to Jakarta due to their safety...
